The anti-corrosion material of FRP chimneys is FRP, which has all the advantages of FRP. Through scientific and reasonable material selection, process design and structural design, the required technical indicators can be achieved. The anti-corrosion characteristics of FRP chimneys are as follows:
1) Good designability: Due to the different properties of the matrix material and the reinforcing material, FRP can meet different physical and chemical performance requirements through reasonable raw material selection, adjustment of FRP component ratio, change of reinforcement material laying method and scientific structural design.
2) Excellent mechanical properties: The tensile strength of FRP is lower than that of steel, higher than that of ductile iron and concrete, and the specific strength is about 3 times that of steel, 10 times that of ductile iron, and 25 times that of concrete. Excellent impact resistance, the falling hammer weight of 1.5kg is not damaged at an impact height of 1600mm.
3) Chemical corrosion resistance: Through reasonable raw material selection and scientific thickness design, FRP can be used for a long time in acid, alkali, salt and organic solvent environments.
4) Good heat and cold resistance: The operating temperature of ordinary FRP is generally -40~70℃. If special resins are selected or anti-ultraviolet absorbers are added, the ambient temperature of the product application is -60~300℃, and it can also resist long-term sunlight exposure.
5) Good thermal insulation performance: Since FRP products are composed of polymer materials and reinforcing materials, they have the characteristics of low thermal conductivity; at room temperature: 0.3~0.4KW/M.H.℃, only 1/100~1/1000 of metal, it is an excellent thermal insulation material, so under the condition of small temperature difference (below 50℃), no special insulation is required to achieve a good thermal insulation effect. 6) Small thermal expansion coefficient: Due to the small thermal expansion coefficient of FRP (2.0×10-5/℃), it can be used normally under various harsh conditions such as surface, underground, overhead, seabed, high cold, desert, freezing, humidity, acid and alkali.
7) Lightweight, high strength and easy installation: The specific gravity is only 1/4-1/5 of steel and cast iron, and 2/3 of concrete. The weight of FRP container is about 1/4 of the same specification steel container. Therefore, it is convenient to load and unload and easy to install.
8) Excellent electrical insulation performance: FRP material is an excellent insulating material used to make insulators. It can still protect good dielectric properties under high frequency. It has good microwave transmittance; it is suitable for use in power transmission, telecommunication line dense areas and minefields.
9) Excellent construction process performance: Before curing and molding, FRP can be easily processed into the required shape by different molding methods due to the fluidity of the resin; this feature is most suitable for the construction requirements of large, integral and complex equipment. It can be constructed on site according to environmental conditions.
