Under what kind of environment were FRP chimneys developed? With the rapid economic development today, the global environment is deteriorating, and acid rain has caused serious environmental problems. Sulfur dioxide and sulfur trioxide emitted into the atmosphere by coal-fired power plants are one of the main causes of acid rain. In the past, coal-fired power plants desulfurized through chimneys, but traditional smoke exhaust pipes generally use special anti-corrosion alloy steel. Whether from the perspective of anti-corrosion effect or economic benefits, this type of material has different corrosion problems, and FRP material has a natural low-temperature anti-corrosion advantage, which is very suitable for wet chimneys after desulfurization of coal-fired power plants.
As we all know, chimneys made of traditional materials have poor corrosion resistance, especially washed and treated exhaust gas, which corrodes chimneys more seriously, so good corrosion resistance is very important for the use of chimneys. FRP material is a polymer composite material, which is resistant to most acids, alkalis and salts, and can be used for a long time under the condition of acid-base alternation. It can also withstand high temperatures. Under normal circumstances, it can work for a long time below 120℃, and up to 220℃.
There are many kinds of main raw materials for FRP, and the molding process is also diverse. Therefore, the FRP material itself has strong designability, and can be designed in a targeted manner according to different use conditions, including raw material selection, production process confirmation and installation method determination, so that the product can be reasonably and effectively manufactured and installed.
FRP material has a low density and light weight, so it is very convenient to install. There is basically no need to set up a bracket at the construction site, and the construction period is very short, which is nearly half the construction period of making chimneys in traditional ways. In addition, there is no problem of internal anti-corrosion treatment for FRP chimneys, so secondary construction is avoided, and the construction difficulty is greatly reduced. Excellent product performance FRP products have high specific strength and can fully meet the various mechanical performance requirements of chimneys. In addition, the steel tower protection frame is set up on the outside according to the design, which can better meet the normal use under various meteorological conditions. At the same time, the inner surface finish of FRP products is very high, which greatly reduces the resistance of flue gas operation. Therefore, the diameter of FRP chimneys is smaller than that of traditional chimneys. Low cost and high efficiency FRP chimneys do not need to be treated with anti-corrosion during construction, and the overall design is better than that of chimneys made of traditional materials, with a short construction period. At the same time, the outstanding corrosion resistance increases the service life of the chimney. The light weight makes the foundation of the chimney much smaller than that of chimneys made of other materials. These factors determine that the cost of FRP chimneys is lower than that of traditional chimneys. With the deepening of environmental protection in enterprises and the combination of foreign experience, the design, processing and production of FRP structures in China have become more and more proficient, meeting the design and construction needs of FRP chimneys. I believe that with the deepening of everyone's understanding of FRP materials and continuous exploration and practice, FRP chimneys will be put to good use and play a due role in expanding the design ideas of wet chimneys in coal-fired power plants and promoting the development of my country's power industry towards an environmentally friendly one.
Vigorously developing the FRP chimney industry is not only conducive to improving China's environmental pollution situation, but also an effective means to accelerate China's industrial structure adjustment, transform the economic development mode, and improve the quality and efficiency of economic development. Regarding the development of the FRP chimney industry, many domestic scholars have carried out a lot of research, drawing on the experience of developed countries, and proposed policy choices and designs for China's development of the FRP chimney industry. The relationship between environmental technology innovation and the development of the FRP chimney industry is discussed, and the needs and hot spots of China's environmental technology development during the "12th Five-Year Plan" period are proposed. The development mechanism of China's FRP chimney industry is evaluated from the aspects of development mechanism, government guidance mechanism, market investment and financing mechanism, and enterprise technology innovation mechanism. Using data from 30 provinces across the country, the actual effect of environmental protection industries such as FRP chimneys on improving environmental quality is studied.
